The Museum is also open outside these hours for group visits from parties of adults or children.

Free, although donations are always welcome.

How to reach us

Barnet Museum lies in Wood Street close to the church of St John the Baptist, just five minutes walk from High Barnet Underground Station, on the Northern Line.

Travelling by bus:

107, 184, 263 & 307 stop outside/opposite the museum at Barnet Church.

34, 84, 234, 326, 384, 389, 399 & 614 stop nearby in the High Street.

Travelling by the Underground:

Take the Northern Line to High Barnet Station

Turn right out of the station, walk up Barnet Hill, take the left fork at Barnet Church the Museum is on the left, by the bus stop

Facilities

The Museum is a centre for family and local history research , and the archive is available to view. Items of interest can be photocopied or scanned for a small charge.

Shop: our small shop sells books - including our publications - maps and postcards.

Parking: there is a multi-storey car park behind the Spires Shopping centre and a small public car park behind the museum in the Court House Gardens (down Manor Close, first entrance on your left after the museum, coming from the eastern end of Wood Street).
